Karbon provided various services for two international locations including:
Karbon performed mechanical, electrical, and fire protection commissioning for a facility that consisted of 27,000-SF of office space on the 11th floor and a 900-SF trading floor. The project had some challenges due to the contractors preferred construction methods, which differed from owner's preferences (ie: no experience with flanged joints, packaged controls vs. BMS). There was also some difficulty obtaining certain materials and the mechanical contractors had no experience with fuel systems. We helped mitigate these challenges by assisting the contractor with design guidance, procuring some of the materials from the U.S., spending extensive time on-site during construction and performing inspections.
We also provided out-of-scope construction administrative services including tracking submittals, RFIs, and milestones to bring the project to a successful completion.
The scope involved the site assessment with mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection, and commissioning services for a Wealth Management facility in Panama City.
