Karbon provided design and commissioning services for this Tier III, greenfield data center located in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The new data center had a 20,000-SF data hall and included the following systems and components:

•  Air cooled DX
• Nine CRAC units
• 2n configuration UPS system
• 625 kVA system
• N+1 generator plant
• Three 1.5 MW generator

The commissioning scope involved operator training on all mechanical, electrical and fire detection systems. To meet the scope requirements, we developed detailed and comprehensive training materials, included more O&M documentation than the manufacturer's representatives provided, and performed on-site, hands-on training for the equipment. Our approach exceeded the owner's expectations and was deemed superior to any training provided by the manufacturer's representatives.
